Overview

Langtang Valley is very scenic, and the most beautiful mountain region, offers the finest short trekking destination in Nepal Himalayas. Langtang Valley is blessed with pristine beauty, unspoiled nature, rich biodiversity, diverse landscapes, mountain valleys, and snow-capped Langtang Himalayas.

Langtang Valley is one of the closest trekking regions (Lies at North of Kathmandu) from the capital, Kathmandu, Nepal. Despite its proximity, this region is still rural, wild and less explored than popular Everest Region & Annapurna Region treks in Nepal. Langtang Valley is easy to access from Kathmandu. It takes about 6 hours by private Jeep or public bus drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi or Dhunche to start off and end the trek in the region. Langtang Lirung (7246m) is the highest mountain peak in the area which shines right above Langtag Valley & Kyangin Gumba. Dorji Lakpa, Mt. Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Langshisha Ri, Gangchhenpo, Yala Peak and Naya Kanga Peaks are the great himalayan peaks in this region.

Kyangin Ri & Tserko Ri offers a closed up panorama of Langtang Mountains and spectacular mountain landscape views of the valley. Kyangin Gumba village is named from the ancient monastery situated north of the Kyanjin Village, which is a famous old Gumba of this region. Things to Know About Langtang Valley Trek

The Langtang Valley Trek is a beautiful and relatively less crowded Himalayan trek located north of Kathmandu, offering a rich mix of Tibetan-influenced culture, alpine scenery, and stunning views of peaks like Langtang Lirung (7,227m). This moderate trek usually takes 7–10 days and is ideal for those seeking a rewarding high-altitude experience without the longer travel times of Everest or Annapurna routes. The trail passes through dense forests, yak pastures, glacial valleys, and traditional Tamang villages like Langtang and Kyanjin Gompa, where trekkers can explore local monasteries and even do side hikes to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri for panoramic mountain views. The region is still recovering from the 2015 earthquake but remains welcoming, and the trail infrastructure has been largely rebuilt. The trek typically starts from Syabrubesi, and while it doesn't go above 5,000 meters, proper acclimatization and fitness are still important.

The service provided by Chet’s team is top notch
4.45

This is my 3rd time to Nepal and 2nd time trekking with Chet Bhatta and his company. The service provided by Chet’s team is top notch, from the time we arrived at the airport, the Trek, and the departure - everything was well-thought of and planned.

On this trip, Ram was our guide - with more than 15 years of experience, he was the perfect guide and provided the best arrangements for us along the Langtang Valley Trek. His knowledge is so extensive and he is so helpful even to others. His connection with the villages along the way also speaks volume of his good reputation among the locals in the mountains. Together with Kishor, our porter, they make a perfect guide + porter pair with such good humor, laughter and even deep conversations during our 8-day Langtang Trek.

I would highly recommend Booking your next trekking trip with Chet and his team.
